Holtzman-Lopez Productions is a production company specializing in live & digital entertainment founded by collaborators Ben Holtzman (he/him) and Sammy Lopez (he/him).

Ben and Sammy are devoted to bringing thoughtful and innovative works to the stage from the ground up. They are drawn to passionate projects with powerful messages and are most interested in developing long-lasting relationships with emerging theatre artists. HLP believes that theatre has the power to inspire change.

Ben and Sammy have been working together since they became roommates freshman year of college at Syracuse University.

In 2022, they launched P3 Productions with their partner Fiona Howe Rudin.

Meet Ben & Sammy

Ben Holtzman is a producer and content creator passionate about telling authentic stories that make us think. He most recently co-produced BE MORE CHILL on Broadway. Ben worked closely with Hal Prince from 2016 until his passing. With Hal, he worked on the 2017 production of CANDIDE at New York City Opera as well as PRINCE OF BROADWAY at Manhattan Theatre Club. Ben also worked with Hal on writing his memoir, ‘Sense of Occasion’, which was released in September of 2017. Ben is the founder and executive producer of RANGE a cappella. With RANGE, Ben has arranged and produced music videos for Nickelodeon, Sesame Street, Playbill, Billboard, and the E! Network’s 2015 Oscars Live from the Red Carpet. RANGE has over 60k subscribers on YouTube and their music videos have been viewed over 30 million times. Ben produced RANGE’s first studio album, RANGE volume one, which is available on iTunes and Spotify. Current projects in development include GUN & POWDER (Signature Theatre 2020), HOW TO DANCE IN OHIO, and BRADICAL. Ben is the recipient of the 2019 T. Fellowship for Creative Producing in association with Columbia University School of the Arts. He serves on the advisory board for Jennifer Jancuska + The BringAbout and is a proud graduate of both Professional Performing Arts School and the Syracuse University School of Drama. Sammy Lopez is a curious theatre-maker dedicated to uplifting historically excluded voices & stories through the arts. In addition to his work with Holtzman-Lopez Productions and P3 Productions, he is the Special Projects Manager at Marathon Digital, representing Broadway productions, regional theatres, and other live entertainment clients. In addition, he is the first resident director of NY Children's Theatre developing new theatre experiences for families and young audiences. During the pandemic, Sammy co-founded The Industry Standard Group (TISG), a multicultural commercial investment and producing organization strategically formed to promote work reflecting diversity and increase the presence of BIPOC investors and producers in the commercial producing arts and entertainment field. He is the 2022 program mentor for Theatre Producers Of Color (TPOC) and teaches with The Business of Broadway. Currently, he is a recipient of The Shubert Organization’s Artistic Circle and a Broadway League Fellow. Sammy is a proud graduate of Syracuse University's School of Drama, L.A. Together, Ben & Sammy produce the Syracuse University Lewis Hecker Drama Showcase and manage Orange In The Apple, a volunteer Syracuse Drama Alumni organization.
